Project

Project in AWorkload can be defined as collection of Issues related to a common subject. That common subject IS Project in AWorkload terminoloy.

What IS Project really depends on what your business is. If you for example running property management then Project for you is a property unit, if you are building boats for example then each boat would be a Project, etcetera.
You can do both or more. That would just mean you are working with different Types of Projects.

Project in AWorkload system has the following attributes

  • Type - which defines rules around it
  • Definition - a simple text description or more complex structure of many data fields
  • Manager - Division set to be responsible for the Project

Optionally each Project can have

  • Sub-Projects - which may reflect the complexity of it if necessary
  • Parent Project if it is a part of larger complex Project

When there is an Issue logged in AWorkload system it is always associated with a Project. It can then be transferred from one Project to another, but it is always associated with at least one Project. That is making Project considered being collection or grouping factor for Issues.
