Division

Division in AWorkload terminology is a base element of business organizational hierarchy.

Each level of organization is represented in AWorkload by Division. Whole company is represented by a single Division. Each company department is also represented by Division. Each division in department again represented by Division. The bottom level of hierarchy - position is again represented by Division.

In other words Division is a point of responsibility aggregation.

Division in AWorkload system has the following attributes

  • Occupation by a User or Vacancy
  • Sub-Division - which represent positions or lower-level departments reporting to this Division
  • Parent Division if it is a part of any

Issue Assignment

Divisions in AWorkload provide linkage between Issues and Users. We do not assign Users directly to Issues because that would not be a correct reflection of real world practice. In reality it is Position holding all the assignment and a particular person is only temporarily filling that position.

If you change occupation of Division to another User it would keep all the duties related to it as well as the whole history.

Occupation

The way Divisions in AWorkload are getting occupied by Users is via Offers made by an occupant of supervising Division or AWorkload Account owner. Once Division is offered to an User it can be accepted or rejected. It makes the fact of Division occupation be a result of two sides agreement between the holder of a Position and it's occupant.
